SocialBizWorld Conference Now Free

by Roohi Moolla on October 15, 2010

FreeOk, folks – SocialBizWorld is now FREE. If you want to know why, read on. If you just want to register now, please go here.

Here’s the thing – while this may sound corny, it’s the truth. Some of you may know that I just spent the last 19 days in Europe – Italy and Istanbul to be exact. It was a much needed vacation, and I had a chance to spend some extremely precious time with my parents, who are in their early 70′s.

While the sightseeing and the tours were absolutely fantastic, the time with my parents and the opportunity to reflect was even more valuable. I returned home (after 18 hours on planes and in airports) late last night with a renewed sense of who I am, what my priorities are, and what I want to achieve in my work and my life, and in particular with this conference, SocialBizWorld.

One of the most important reasons that  this conference exists is because I wanted to bring people together to build a community. Part of that is to make it truly accessible to those people who really want to learn about Social Media. For the most part, this means small businesses and sole proprietors, consultants and individuals who are looking for low-cost ways to market themselves and their business.

After all, most social media tools themselves are low-cost or free, which is why they’re so appealing to so many people in the first place.

So keeping in line with the whole concept of low-cost or no-cost community-building, and our philosophy of helping as many people as possible to learn about social media, new technology, the digital age or whatever else you’d like to call it, we’re completely overhauling the pricing of the conference so that it’s completely accessible for everyone.

The entire conference is now TOTALLY free, with the exception of the Lunch/Q&A Expert Panel, Awards Reception/Evening Party and Priority Seating, which are now $25 each.

This means you can attend the keynote speeches, ALL the workshops and ALL the round-table discussions at NO cost.

However there are a limited number of tickets available for the Lunch/Q&A Expert Panel and the Awards Reception/Evening Party, and at $25 each, we recommend you buy your ticket now if you want to make sure you get a seat.

You can also guarantee a seat at any workshops or round-tables you choose to attend by registering here.

So the cost of attending the whole conference and getting priority seating is now only $75 – or you can just attend the workshops, discussions and keynotes without any cost at all.

Yes, this is a big change, and yes we’re absorbing a lot of the cost by doing this – but that’s ok. One way or another, I believe it’ll come back to us in a good way. More importantly, we’re benefiting by achieving our goals of helping others to achieve their goals.

For you, the biggest benefit of all is that you have a chance to network, learn from and connect with peers, colleagues and experts from all the over the world, at what we think is the best Social Media conference in the North Bay.

We hope you’ll join us!
